I just learned that children’s lunches create 3.5 billion pounds of garbage each year! I know that our local school system still uses styrofoam trays, even though they know styrofoam is bad bad bad -- but it's cheaper for them than having to hire people to wash reusable trays! That's sad.
Kids Konserve makes awesome re-usable, BPA-free lunch kits that include a stainless steel bottle, stainless steel food containers, cloth napkin, and cloth lunch bag. I'd definitely use this myself!
